Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. Let me deconstruct what made Stallone a real hero:
He had decided very early that he wanted to become an actor.Before making big he was a struggling actor, he had even come wrote a story watching Mohammad Ali,s match.He tried to sell the story with many producers and offering himself as lead actor but nobody bought it.After many rejections a producer offered to by the story but not him as the lead actor.He even offered him $10000($10K was a lot of money in those times) for the story but he rejected it.At that time he was broke and merely survived daily.Stallone himself lived with his dog which he had to sell in order to afford his basic needs.Finally after few months the producer agreed to cast him in the lead role and gave him credit for the story.Rocky went to win the Oscar and made stallone a Star.
These are some of the qualities we can imbibe in ourselves.
Know What You want
Who would have thought a guy speaking in a different style and not having the looks of a Tom Cruise/ Brad Pitt could make it so big.It was very clear to him that he wanted to become an actor.He had a dream and made it happen-true hallmark of a winner.

Persistence
He stuck to his plan,he offered to sell story as him in the lead role to all the producers even being rejected many times.even being offered to sell the story for a huge sum he did'nt give in.Anybody in his financial condition would have give in but he did'nt-that's why he made it Big.
Hopefully we fight like Rocky and knock down our opponents in the bout of our lives.
