Facebook is a great platform created by Mark Zuckerberg and his team.I have been really addicted with facebook from last 6 months.Facebook has become an important part of our lives. It has become a part of our social structure.Sometimes it is great, sometimes a big nuisance,an utter waste sometimes.I even open with a guilt every morning I log on at work thinking as if I am in college or at home. When I m logged on I am sucked in the universe of status updates, likes & dislikes, tagging photos, checking who is online, sharing articles videos & photos.
Though facebook has been really great at helping networking with people and connect with old friends. It has made a habit to share photos whenever clicked wherever we go and refresh when anyone of your friends commented on them. There is an urge to find old friends and connect with them. There is an urge to change your status updates as frequently and update on any new activities in your life with your friends. It has become a platform of self expression in a more friendly way. With everybody busy in their daily struggles facebook has become a place where everyone logs on daily and shares their experiences. It is a place where everybody vents out their frustrations, anger, happiness, sorrows ,their achievements and failures.
While facebook has become a must daily, I would love to call it an addiction in a positive way.The term addiction is usually meant as forming a clinging feeling towards a bad thing. But in this context I would not call it a bad thing but sometimes it really feels uneasy when You have not logged on for a single day.Somethings in excess is not good while I am working on it .
To counter this problem I have declared 30 days Facebook fast few days ago to my friends by applying the 30 days Trial. It has really been tough for me to stay away in these initial days of this challenge.I am only connected with my friends only through mail and phone.I am learning the art of detachment of not developing a feeling as if I am missing something.I will take one day at a time by applying present moment improvement process. In order to stay aloof from this habit ,I will not open the mails regarding facebook.I am still in nascent stages of this challenge, so far It has been good, lets see how I follow through in this challenge.
I will see u guys on flip side of this challenge...
